Our Story
ChargePilot started with a simple observation: merchants were losing thousands to chargebacks, and the tools available were either too expensive, too opaque, or too manual.
Founded by Samuel Bengisu out of Palm Beach County, Florida, ChargePilot was built from deep research into the dispute ecosystem — reason codes, evidence standards, Visa CE 3.0 requirements, and the psychology of friendly fraud.
After extensive work in fintech, real estate contracts, and dispute resolution, the team saw an opportunity to build something different: a chargeback platform that's fully transparent, runs on autopilot, and only charges when it wins.
What started as a tool for structured evidence generation evolved into a full AI-powered defense system — scanning every transaction, preventing chargebacks before they happen, and fighting disputes with AI-generated evidence when they do.
Today, ChargePilot is live on the Stripe App Marketplace, protecting merchants with three layers of automated defense.
